New York County Courts

Office of the New York County Clerk - The Office of the City Clerk is one of the oldest offices in New York. The city clerk serves both the City Council and the Municipal City. As Clerk of the City Council, the office is responsible for attesting all laws enacted by the city council and relevant legislation from the State Legislature. As City Clerk, the office attests to leases and deeds of the City property, grants, agreements, bonds, tax notes, and other forms of obligations of the City. In addition to other functions, the office maintains both the Marriage Bureau and the Lobbying Bureau.

New York County Law Enforcement

New York State Unified Court System - This website contains information on all New York courts. This includes Appeals, Family, Criminal, Claims, Town and Village Courts, and Surrogate's Courts.

United States District Court: Southern District of New York - This federal court has jurisdiction over courts in the counties of New York, Bronx, Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, and Sullivan.

United States District Court: Eastern District of New York - The jurisdiction of this court includes the counties of Kings, Nassau, Queens, Richmond, and Suffolk. This district has a population of approximately 8 million people.
